DI water treatment and other peripheral equipment for optimized plant operation
DI water treatment systems, integrated heating systems (continuous-flow water heaters, heat exchangers), dehumidification modules for efficient and gentle drying or neutralization units for polluted waste water or exhaust air: For a wide range of process systems, KKS offers suitable peripheral equipment that supports and guarantees safe and efficient process flows. The peripheral installations are always matched to the system-specific process requirements and thus support safe operation.
Advantages of integrated KKS peripheral equipment
DI water treatment systems
Applications of DI water treatment systems
To minimize energy and operating costs, KKS offers integrated systems for DI water treatment. Depending on the requirements, these are made entirely of stainless steel or PVDF in BCF quality (bead and groove-free welding) and are integrated into the plant control systems. However, they can also be used as an additional system to supply existing systems.
Operation of DI water treatment systems
The rinsing water to be treated is processed by a multi-stage mixed-bed resin and activated carbon filtration system and filtered several times. Depending on the application or requirement, the system also incorporates UV sterilization and a sterile filter to eliminate any germs present in the ultrapure water. Treatment in the DI water rinsing circuit is configured specifically for the system in question. Sensors integrated into the rinsing tanks continuously check the water quality. Continuous-flow water heaters or heat exchangers (with bead and groove-free welded piping) can also be integrated, depending on the requirements.

Wet Air-Scrubber / Neutralizer
Wet-air gas scrubbers are used to clean exhaust air and process gases in chemical or electrochemical processes (for example in pickling, anodizing, electropolishing, passivation, etching, etc.).
Chemical and electrochemical surface treatment processes often produce corrosive gases which must not be released into the surrounding atmosphere or central exhaust system. The wet-air gas scrubber is an effective system for eliminating such emissions. This system is usually operated and controlled independently and directly by means of an external and integrated control system.
Dehumidifiers
In the case of delicate alloys, for example in the luxury watch segment, but also for implants made of high-performance polymers, low drying temperatures of 40-60°C often result in very long process times for drying. By using dehumidification modules, we can achieve perfect results with very short drying times, even at low and gentle temperatures, by circulating dehumidified warm air.
Advantages of using dehumidifiers are:
- Energy-saving (lower operating costs)
- Reduced heating of parts, especially with temperature-sensitive and delicate materials
- Improved drying efficiency at low temperatures

Continuous-flow water heaters and heat exchangers
Continuous-flow water heaters are used for high process media temperatures, for example in chemical processes or for final rinsing with ultrapure water. To ensure the required process temperatures, continuous-flow water heaters are integrated into circulation systems or flow systems. This allows you to prepare the system for processing quickly and keeps media at a constant temperature.
Integrated heat exchange systems are often used to optimize hot water systems. For example, integrated heat exchangers preheat cold water inlets with outgoing hot water. This can result in significant energy cost savings and increase the efficiency of KKS systems. Seamless, smooth and corrosion-free stainless steel surfaces and connections throughout ensure that dead spaces are avoided in these systems.
Neutralization stations
KKS waste water neutralization systems are used especially in surface treatment and cleaning plants to neutralize waste water. After chemical processes, rinsing waters often exceed the permitted limits for discharging wastewater into municipal sewage systems. KKS neutralization stations regulate such polluted rinsing water. 300 to 600 liters of rinsing water are neutralized per hour through automatic dosing of neutralization chemicals with simultaneous monitoring of pH values.
DI water treatment systems and other peripheral equipment – safe and efficient process flows with KKS expertise
The correct design and installation of peripheral equipment directly on the system, such as a DI water treatment system, a wet-air gas scrubber, a dehumidifier for hot air dryers or a heat exchanger increase process stability and industrial safety and save energy without any loss of performance.
