Electropolishing removes roughness peaks and edges and rounds corners, thereby reducing surface roughness. Electropolishing is also used for fine deburring over the whole surface area, reducing the ability of dirt and germs to adhere to the surfaces of processed components.<\/p>\n

The smooth surface makes it easier to remove temporary implants after bone regeneration, for example.<\/p>\n

Process sequence using a KKS electropolishing system<\/h2><\/div>

KKS electropolishing units are of modular design and can be configured as either manual or fully automatic systems. The plants are designed so that the process sequence can be carried out in a single run according to customer-specific requirements. Depending on the product requirements, processes such as pre-cleaning, electropolishing, power rinsing, passivation, rinsing and drying are coordinated with each other and integrated within a single system.
